Day 11

Tuesday, May 16, 2017

Temperature: High 86° / Low 46°

What Kind of Day Did I Have & Why?

Today I surveyed the land and laid out everything to make sure we’re on track and have a good game plan - AND WE DO!
This time next week we’re in Mexico baby!

How Do I Feel? Health/Lupie Status?

I’m feeling so good, today I’ll give it a 1! Nothing to even talk about today!

Workout Time & Duration?

Another great morning workout knocked out the park - I was there for my usual 1.5 hours and then off to the rest of my day!

Destination Wedding Task Tackled:

💖 I put together a test version of our welcome boxes to see what works and what doesn’t and I still want a mini candle in there... and since I have a little more space, I think I can also fit a bag of candy in there too - I did a test run with a bag of granola and it worked out nicely.

💖 I laid out the napkins in the order that I want them to be for each guest...I have Table One and Table Two planned out and I'm not sure if I can explain it properly to our planner Joyce, but I now know how I want them to be arranged. I'll figure it out - or whatever.

💖 I pulled out our suitcases to start getting an idea of what we’re working with - 2 bags to check and 2 carry-ons should do the trick! I out our napkins in the largest suitcase and I think I’m gonna try to fit all of the wedding reception decor in that one suitcase.

💖 I did a little bit of shopping for my beauty stuff and to find something sexy for my husband once he marries me. I also found mini easels at Michaels and I think they’re perfect for our signs! I only bought 2 to test it out so once the actual menus and signs arrive, I’ll see how many we’ll need.

💖 After my war with the ugly jean jacket lady last week, Che decided it’d be best if he went back to the office to pick up our marriage license - smart man!

💖 I sent our wedding reception floor plan to our wedding planner, Joyce and also let her know that we decided to use dots on the place cards to identify meal choices...1 dot for steak, 2 dots for chicken and 0 dots for our guests with shellfish allergies (since we’re adding lobster to entrees, they’ll get both chicken and steak instead)  she says it looks good so that’s done!

💖 We received notice that our 2 remaining guests sent their information to Sarah yesterday, so she was able to push through our group reservation and will be sending out the travel paperwork to everyone in the next couple of days! Whew - another check!

💖 Following up on our pre-marriage plan, the Judge’s clerk called to let us know that we can’t do it next Monday, but this Thursday’s appointment is still good. Thursday it is!

Any Old Destination Wedding Tasks Making a Comeback?

Nope.

Loving Black Love Moment?

My loving and super handsome future husband and I had a bow tie tying practice session tonight. He’s wearing a traditional hand tied bow tie for the wedding so he’s gonna need to practice a little bit. It’s definitely not an easy feat, but I am kind of enjoying learning something new together. We were so cute sitting in front of the mirror trying to tie our ties together.
I can’t wait for all of the frustration, because in the end we’ll be so much better.

What am I happy for?

I’m happy that this time next week we will be in Mexico preparing to get married!

What could I have done better?

I could have gone back to the marriage license office to curse that bitch with the ugly jean jacket out. That would have been better.

What am I doing tomorrow?

Dress fitting day is back again!
