Day 22

Friday, May 5, 2017

Temperature: High 75° / Low 50°

What Kind of Day Did I Have & Why?

Anyone who knows me, knows I love tequila, and really everything Mexican that I can consume. So, how do you think my day went when I was too sick to celebrate Cinco de Mayo? I’ll give you a hint...not good.

How Do I Feel? Health/Lupie Status?

I was too distracted and confused to tell what pain was caused by what illness, so I guess I’m fine in the Lupie area. I’m hoping that this cold doesn’t send me into a Lupus flare, cuz I can’t take that right now. I’ll keep my pain at a 2 for now unless something crazy happens - fingers crossed!

Workout Time & Duration?

Yeah right...there will be none of that for the next few days...smh

Destination Wedding Task Tackled:

Well I did have to conjure up the energy to do the following:

Black Destination Wedding Bride - BlackDesti Bridefriends Currency Converter Pesos to Dollars

💖 Reply to our planner, Joyce’s email about our surprise midnight meal for our guests on the wedding day. We want to do jerk chicken, but the restaurant has never done catering before so we needed them to give us the quote… $6000 pesos which ends up a little over $300 USD according to my currency converter. Not too bad!

Che says okay, so I sent the approval to Joyce with a couple more questions and details…

💖 And Che sent me the wording for our wedding welcome box itinerary last night, so I finalized the  design for those too.

And then everything went downhill for me…
that’s all I could do...but at least it’s something!

Any Old Destination Wedding Tasks Making a Comeback?

Nope.

Loving Black Love Moment?

Che booked our room for the night in Miami and it is nice! He’s looking forward to everything more and more and it was nice to have that reminder today.

We’re getting married in 22 Days!

That exclamation point is definitely mental...there’s no real expressions of excitement possible right now...but I still feel the love!

What am I happy for?

I guess I’m still supposed to be happy that I got sick BEFORE my wedding, since Che seems to think that means I’m less likely to get sick on that week now. He tends to be right, so I’m riding with that one.

What could I have done better?

I wish I would’ve caught some kind of stomach bug that would make me lose a couple pounds during this illness, that’s the LEAST it could do since I can’t go to the gym!
Geez...Can a sista get a break?!? Guess not...

What am I doing tomorrow?

Being sick...

Fuck it!

I can’t fight it anymore.
