What Kind of Day Did I Have & Why?
I put my pencil down yesterday, so today was tying up loose ends day. We leave for Mexico tomorrow so let's get this show on the road!!! 🙌🏾
Workout Time & Duration?
HAHA! Workout! I think that ship has sailed...can I say pencils down here too? I did pack gym clothes (2 pairs) so I know I’ll get in at least one more workout before the wedding - that’s the least I can do!
How Do I Feel? Health/Lupie Status?
I’m ready to get this show on the road baby! I packed all my Lupie meds, wrist brace, hats and heating pad - so I’m ready to go!
Destination Wedding Task Tackled:
💖 I was feeling adventurous at the nail shop this morning and had this grand plan of blingy nails...and...punked out. I ended up with a blingy accent nail on my left ring finger that I hate - but it’s too late to go back now...and a cute accent on my right pinky just because...I should have done that on my ring finger instead! Oh well. What’s done is done...and my Bridefriend says it's cute - so it is what it is.
💖 I went to get some more cash from the bank.
💖 I went to Petsmart for dog food for Sparky - we’re going to be gone for over 2 weeks including the honeymoon so I figured it’d be easier to just buy a whole new bag of food to give to the sitter.
💖 I went back home to give Che my engagement ring so that he could take all of our rings (my engagement and both of our wedding bands) to get cleaned so they can sparkle in our pictures - we blingin’!
💖 My FINAL FINAL DRESS FITTING is complete! Everything looks and feels great and I have my dress packed and ready to go!
💜We folded my dress into a hanging Ziploc space saver bag, vacuumed the air out and it worked! The whole dress is compressed and will take up much less space...and Che will have no idea WHAT is in my garment bag! I’m sooo glad it worked! It’ll be a wrinkled mess I’m sure, but my Bridefriend Alecia is bringing her steamer so it’ll be fine. Hopefully, the air stays sucked out until Friday - fingers and toes crossed!
💖 My lashes are done and poppin'!
💖 I held back my tears as I dropped off Sparky at his sitter’s house. My baby has never been away from me this long!
💖 And I’m still packing!
I should have started this 2 weeks ago, hell a MONTH ago! This toiletry packing is no joke! Especially since I’m packing EVERYTHING including every medication we own - my Lupus meds of course, but also the multivitamins, cold medicine, bug spray, Imodium-D, allergy medicine, pain medicine - seriously, everything!
Any Old Destination Wedding Tasks Making a Comeback?
Hell no! We’re leaving before the sun comes up and I have NO time for any extras damn it!
Loving Black Love Moment?
I let my future husband sleep while I packed our suitcases...that’s love damn it!
What am I happy for?
I’m happy that we made it! We’ve had a 2-year engagement and I can finally see the end of the finish line and it is oh-so-close!
What could I have done better?
I could have packed faster...I’m still awake and see no sleep in my future anytime soon, BUT I don’t even care because I can sleep on the plane. I’m getting married in Mexico!
