What Kind of Day Did I Have & Why?
Pencils down! I needed my relaxing morning recharge at the spa with my boo...I’ll just leave it at that.
How Do I Feel? Health/Lupie Status?
I’ll put my pain at a 2 and my energy level is better than yesterday.
Workout Time & Duration?
Nope - there was none of that going on!
Destination Wedding Task Tackled:
Soooo the plan to pick up dress with my Bridefriends at 2 pm turned into a waiting game that lasted all day! An hour turned into 2 hours, that turned into 4 hours and then I just gave up. Only when I gave up did any progress take place - at least that’s how it seemed to me.
I should have lied about my damn wedding date because this shit here is too much!
💖 While playing a fucking waiting game for my dress, I bought:
💜 Another big ass suitcase because nothing else is working - as a result, I finally found something that I hate shopping for - suitcases;
💜 Twenty (20) bags of Sour Patch Kidz for our guest’s welcome boxes - and I’m done with these boxes - for real, for real;
💜 Two (2) more clear easels to hold up our signs;
💜 A Ziploc Space Saver Bag to try to use for my wedding dress so Che won't know how dramatic it is - it's a stretch, I know;
💜 The last little bit of our toiletries for the trip - mainly lotion and small TSA-friendly bottles for our carry-ons;
💜 And 2...yes, 2...new swimsuits - THIS was my retail therapy because at this point 4 hours had passed and my dress still wasn’t ready, and my Bridefriend had to go deliver a baby (because she’s awesome like that) so she couldn’t play the “Waiting for Omi’s Wedding Dress to be Finished Game” with us anymore.
After my shopping bonanza, I went home to wait and pack more and then I finally got to pick it up with my only available Bridefriend - Alecia at 9 pm.
Yes 9 pm EST!
And when we arrived to my seamstress, Debbie’s house my dress was still not ready! She was finishing my gigantic bustle, finishing the boning and who knows what else...The point is - my shit wasn’t finished! So Alecia helped me keep my shit together and Debbie showed Alecia how to work the bustle and considering the enormity of the situation, Alecia had the bright idea to record a video to remind herself on the day-of and explain to anyone else who will be helping - hopefully, that works since she was a lonely Bridefriend tonight.
I will be picking my dress up bright and early tomorrow morning.
Any Old Destination Wedding Tasks Making a Comeback?

My spa date with my honey was a much-needed recharge!
We enjoyed our couple’s massage and had brunch together and filled up our Quality Time tank.
We shared mimosas and toasted to our flight in 2 days
and our wedding in 6 days!
What am I happy for?
I’m happy to have my Bridefriend Alecia. She has been able to keep my mind right throughout this whole planning period and she even spent her Sunday evening with me and my wedding dress shenanigans. I was telling her about the things I want to try and wish I could have done and she responded with 2 words:
Pencils down.
Pencils down - drop the mic - My Work is Done -
The Test is Over - my time is up...
It was perfect - and true!
I’ve done all that I can and can’t do anymore. She reminded me that at some point I have to just let it all be and put the fucking pencil down. So that’s what I’m doing. Pencil down.
What could I have done better?
Hey, I did the best I could have done with what I was dealt...so I’m happy.
If I could have done ANYTHING, it would have been to figure out dinner because both me and Alecia were hungry and tired by the time we left my fitting.
What am I doing tomorrow?
Picking up my fucking dress! Yes, I have a nail appointment too, but I really don’t care about doing anything other than getting my dress right now.
